The Treatment

What is Oxygen Therapy?

Oxygen therapy delivers a stream of pressurised oxygen carrying hydrating serum into the surface of the skin. There is no heat, no abrasion and no acid involved, which is why it suits almost every skin type including sensitive and reactive skin.

The effect is immediate plumping and a noticeable brightness, with no redness afterwards — which makes it the treatment we most often recommend before an event. If your skin looks tired and flat rather than congested or breaking out, this is usually the right choice.

How It Works

What happens at your appointment

1

Skin analysis

Your therapist looks at your skin properly and adapts the treatment to what it needs on the day, rather than following a fixed routine.

2

The facial

Cleansing, exfoliation and treatment steps are carried out with products and intensity selected for your skin.

3

Finish & aftercare

Finishing products are applied and you are given simple aftercare advice to keep the results going.

Aftercare

  • Keep your routine gentle for a day or two.
  • Avoid strong actives, scrubs and acids as advised.
  • Use SPF daily — freshly exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive.
  • Avoid heat, saunas and heavy exercise for 24 hours.
  • Drink water and let the skin settle.

Results and how often: The glow is visible immediately and typically lasts around a week, which is why it is often booked the day before an occasion. There is no downtime at all — you can apply makeup straight afterwards.

Good To Know

Oxygen Therapy FAQs

Can I have it on the day of an event?
Yes. It is one of the few facials with no redness or downtime, so same-day or day-before booking works well.
Does it involve any acids or abrasion?
No. It is a gentle, non-abrasive treatment, which is why it suits sensitive skin that cannot tolerate peels or microdermabrasion.
How long does the glow last?
Around a week for most people. For an ongoing effect, monthly sessions work well alongside good home hydration.
Is there any downtime?
Generally none. Some clients notice mild pinkness for an hour or so, which settles quickly.
How often should I have one?
Every four to six weeks maintains results, though many clients book individually before events. There is no obligation to commit to a course.
Will it suit sensitive skin?
Usually. Your therapist adapts products and intensity to what your skin can tolerate, and will suggest something else if it is not suitable.
How do I book?
Book online at any time, message us on WhatsApp, or call 07391 213145. If you are not sure which treatment you need, ask us first.
