What is LVL Lash Lift / Perm?

LVL stands for length, volume and lift. Rather than adding extensions, the treatment works with the lashes you already have — straightening them at the root and lifting them upwards, then tinting them darker in the same appointment.

It suits people whose lashes are a decent length but grow straight out or downwards, so they never look as long as they are. Because there is nothing attached, there is no infill schedule and no aftercare beyond the first day — which makes it the low-maintenance alternative to extensions.

What happens at your appointment

Consultation & patch test

We agree the look you want. A patch test is required at least 48 hours before your first appointment.

Application

You rest with your eyes closed while your technician works. Most clients find it relaxing and many fall asleep.

Aftercare

You are shown how to care for them so they last, and when to book your infills.

Aftercare

  • Keep them dry for 24 hours.
  • Avoid oil-based products and cleansers around the eyes.
  • Do not pick, rub or pull them.
  • Brush them gently with the wand provided.
  • Book infills every two to three weeks to maintain them.

Results and how often: An LVL lift lasts six to eight weeks — effectively until your natural lashes complete their growth cycle. There are no infills; you simply rebook when the lift drops. Keep lashes dry and free of makeup for the first 24 hours.

Is a lash lift the same as extensions?
No. A lift reshapes and tints your own lashes with nothing added, so there is no infill schedule. Extensions add length and volume that your own lashes do not have.
Will it damage my lashes?
Not when carried out correctly and not repeated too frequently. We will not lift again before your lashes are ready, usually six to eight weeks.
Can I wear mascara afterwards?
Yes, after the first 24 hours — though most clients find they no longer need it, since the lashes are already lifted and tinted.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes — at least 48 hours before your first appointment. This applies even if you have had extensions elsewhere.
How long do they last?
Typically two to three weeks before infills, depending on your natural lash cycle and how you care for them.
Will they damage my natural lashes?
Applied and removed correctly, they should not. Problems usually come from picking at them or having them applied too heavily.
