The Treatment

What is Men’s Facial?

Male skin is generally thicker and oilier than female skin, and daily shaving adds irritation, ingrown hairs and razor burn to the picture. This facial is built around that — deep cleansing and exfoliation to clear congestion, careful extraction, and calming products aimed at shaving irritation.

It suits men who have never had a facial as much as those who book regularly. There is nothing complicated about it: skin is cleaned properly, congestion is cleared, and irritation is settled down.

How It Works

What happens at your appointment

1

Skin analysis

Your therapist looks at your skin properly and adapts the treatment to what it needs on the day, rather than following a fixed routine.

2

The facial

Cleansing, exfoliation and treatment steps are carried out with products and intensity selected for your skin.

3

Finish & aftercare

Finishing products are applied and you are given simple aftercare advice to keep the results going.

Aftercare

  • Keep your routine gentle for a day or two.
  • Avoid strong actives, scrubs and acids as advised.
  • Use SPF daily — freshly exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive.
  • Avoid heat, saunas and heavy exercise for 24 hours.
  • Drink water and let the skin settle.

  • You want a straightforward, low-fuss treatment

Tell us first if…

  • You have shaved within a few hours of the appointment
  • You have active infected ingrown hairs
  • You are using prescription acne medication
  • You have a cold sore or broken skin

Results and how often: Skin looks clearer and feels less irritated straight away. Every four to six weeks keeps congestion and shaving irritation under control; we will also suggest small changes to your shaving routine that usually make more difference than any product.

Good To Know

Men's Facial FAQs

Should I shave before my appointment?
Not immediately beforehand. Shaving the day before is fine, but freshly shaved skin is more sensitive to exfoliation and extraction.
Will it help with ingrown hairs?
Yes — exfoliation and extraction address the main causes. We will also show you how to reduce them between appointments.
Do I need to use products at home?
It helps, but we keep recommendations minimal and practical. A cleanser, moisturiser and SPF is enough for most men.
Is there any downtime?
Generally none. Some clients notice mild pinkness for an hour or so, which settles quickly.
How often should I have one?
Every four to six weeks maintains results, though many clients book individually before events. There is no obligation to commit to a course.
Will it suit sensitive skin?
Usually. Your therapist adapts products and intensity to what your skin can tolerate, and will suggest something else if it is not suitable.
How do I book?
Book online at any time, message us on WhatsApp, or call 07391 213145. If you are not sure which treatment you need, ask us first.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Full details are on our policies page.
