Acne & Congested Skin

What it looks like

Bumpy texture across the forehead, nose and chin, visible blackheads and inflamed spots that linger.

Why it happens

Excess oil mixing with dead skin blocks the follicle. Hormones, heavy products and stress feed the cycle. Adult acne is common and is not a hygiene problem.

How we approach it

Deep cleansing without stripping. We calm active inflammation first, then work on the congestion underneath.

What We Recommend

Treatments for acne & congested skin

These are the treatments we offer for this concern. Which one suits you depends on your skin — we will recommend honestly at your free consultation.

60 min

A calming version of our Comcit protocol formulated for blemish-prone skin, combining cool micro-channels with targeted anti-bacterial and soothing serums.

75 min

A carbon mask is applied to the face then targeted with laser to gently exfoliate and refine pores. Skin looks bright, tight and porcelain-smooth immediately — a red-carpet favourite.

Mesoestetic Peels

From £75
30–45 min

Professional peels targeted to your concern. Melanostop for pigmentation, dull skin and uneven tone; Blemiskin for congestion, acne and oily or combination skin. The MD formulations work deeper for more significant change.

60 min

A professional-strength peel that refines texture, tone and clarity using a curated blend of active acids. Some light flaking may follow — visible smoothness follows.

45 min

A gentle, cleansing facial designed for younger skin. Focuses on decongesting pores, calming redness — and teaching great skincare habits early.

Individual results vary. Suitability, expected outcomes and aftercare are discussed before any treatment begins.

Good To Know

Acne & Congested Skin — frequently asked questions

How many sessions will it take to clear my skin?
Acne responds to consistency rather than one appointment. Most people need a course of four to six treatments spaced two to three weeks apart, alongside a simple home routine. If your acne is cystic or scarring, we will tell you honestly that a GP or dermatologist is the right first step.
Will a facial make my breakouts worse before better?
Some people experience a short purge in the first week or two as congestion clears. Your therapist will tell you at the start whether that is likely for your skin so it is not a surprise.
Can I have treatment while on acne medication?
Not always. If you are taking Roaccutane, or finished it within the last six months, most resurfacing and needling treatments are off the table. Tell us what you take at your free consultation and we will work around it.
