Medical Conditions
Please tell us about any health conditions, allergies, injuries, recent surgery, medication or pregnancy when you book, and again at your appointment. Some treatments are not suitable for certain conditions, and for your safety we may ask for written clearance from your GP before proceeding.
Conditions that commonly require clearance or make a treatment unsuitable include:
- Cancer, or current cancer treatment
- Cardiovascular conditions, including high or low blood pressure
- Swollen or painful lymph nodes
- Thrombosis, or any blood disorder or clotting condition
- Diabetes
- Undiagnosed skin rashes, open sores or active infection in the area
- Osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis
- Any new or unhealed injury
- Epilepsy or photosensitivity (relevant to laser and light-based treatments)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Waiting periods. If you have had Botox, dermal fillers or any other injectable, a chemical peel, microneedling, microblading, permanent make-up, or a laser or ultrasound treatment, please allow at least 2 weeks before booking a facial. If you have taken Isotretinoin (Roaccutane), we ask you to wait 6–12 months after finishing the course before any resurfacing, needling or laser treatment.
Withholding relevant medical information puts your safety at risk and may mean a treatment has to be stopped or a charge applied.
