The Treatment

What is Comcit Acne Facial?

The Comcit acne facial combines cool micro-channelling with targeted serums to address active breakouts and the congestion underneath them. The cooling element calms inflammation while the micro-channels help the products reach where they are needed.

It is designed for skin that is actively breaking out rather than skin that simply looks congested, and it is equally suited to adult acne as to teenage skin. As with all acne treatment, it works best as a course alongside a home routine we will help you set up.

How It Works

What happens at your appointment

1

Skin analysis

Your therapist looks at your skin properly and adapts the treatment to what it needs on the day, rather than following a fixed routine.

2

The facial

Cleansing, exfoliation and treatment steps are carried out with products and intensity selected for your skin.

3

Finish & aftercare

Finishing products are applied and you are given simple aftercare advice to keep the results going.

Aftercare

  • Keep your routine gentle for a day or two.
  • Avoid strong actives, scrubs and acids as advised.
  • Use SPF daily — freshly exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive.
  • Avoid heat, saunas and heavy exercise for 24 hours.
  • Drink water and let the skin settle.

Is Comcit Acne Facial right for you?

A good fit if…

  • You have active breakouts or persistent congestion
  • Your skin is oily or combination
  • You have adult acne that has not responded to shop-bought products
  • You are prepared to follow a home routine
  • You can commit to a short course of treatments

Tell us first if…

  • You are taking Roaccutane or have finished it within six months
  • You have cystic or nodular acne that needs medical care
  • You have an active skin infection or cold sore
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Results and how often: Some calming is visible after one treatment, but acne responds to consistency — expect a course of four to six sessions spaced two to three weeks apart, alongside home care. We will refer you to a GP or dermatologist if your acne needs medical treatment.

Good To Know

Comcit Acne Facial FAQs

Will it make me break out at first?
Some people experience a short purge as congestion clears, usually within the first week or two. Your therapist will warn you if that is likely for your skin.
Is this suitable for teenage skin?
Yes, and it is a common booking. For younger or more sensitive skin we may suggest starting with our teenage facial and building up.
Can it replace acne medication?
No. It is a supportive treatment, not a medical one. If your acne is severe, cystic or scarring, please see a GP — we will always say so.
Is there any downtime?
Generally none. Some clients notice mild pinkness for an hour or so, which settles quickly.
How often should I have one?
Every four to six weeks maintains results, though many clients book individually before events. There is no obligation to commit to a course.
Will it suit sensitive skin?
Usually. Your therapist adapts products and intensity to what your skin can tolerate, and will suggest something else if it is not suitable.
How do I book?
Book online at any time, message us on WhatsApp, or call 07391 213145. If you are not sure which treatment you need, ask us first.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Full details are on our policies page.
