Skin Texture & Pores

What it looks like

Skin that feels bumpy to the touch, make-up that sits unevenly, and visible pores across the nose and cheeks.

Why it happens

Dead cell build-up, congestion within the pore and loss of firmness around the pore wall all play a part. Pores cannot be shrunk, but they can be cleared and refined.

How we approach it

Resurfacing to smooth the surface, plus treatments that clear congestion and support firmness around the pore.

What We Recommend

Treatments for skin texture & pores

These are the treatments we offer for this concern. Which one suits you depends on your skin — we will recommend honestly at your free consultation.

45 min

A gentle mechanical exfoliation that buffs away dulling dead skin cells with a fine diamond tip. Skin is left visibly smoother, brighter and more even in tone from the very first session.

45–60 min

Fine needles create controlled micro-channels in the skin, prompting the body's own repair response and encouraging collagen production over the following weeks.

Dermaplaning

From £90
45–60 min

A sterile blade removes vellus hair and the dull surface layer of dead skin, leaving a smoother canvas and better product absorption. Often combined with a facial.

75 min

A carbon mask is applied to the face then targeted with laser to gently exfoliate and refine pores. Skin looks bright, tight and porcelain-smooth immediately — a red-carpet favourite.

Individual results vary. Suitability, expected outcomes and aftercare are discussed before any treatment begins.

Good To Know

Skin Texture & Pores — frequently asked questions

Can pores be made permanently smaller?
Pore size is largely genetic, but pores look considerably smaller when they are clear and the skin around them is firm. That is what these treatments work on.
Which treatment works best for rough texture?
Microdermabrasion, dermaplaning and peels all resurface effectively. Which suits you depends on how reactive your skin is, which is what the consultation decides.
How often can I have resurfacing treatments?
Typically every two to four weeks in a course, then monthly for maintenance. More often than that risks over-exfoliating and making texture worse.
